There's Gerard V, the hypnotist, and That Hypno Show, the show. For your next company event you will want both. Gerard V is a brilliant hypnotist, hilarious, charming and original. The show is very flexible, and Gerard tailors the gags and the humour to suit your audience and the occasion.
The Volunteers Are Stars
We use only volunteers from the audience. We ask for volunteers, and when you come up on stage we treat you like the star you are. Deep down inside every one of your colleagues and your team there is a natural performer. You'll be amazed at what people will do onstage. Unlike some entertainers, we do not select people from the crowd without their prior agreement.
Hilarious But Not Embarrassing
Gerard V wants you to come back to every show, and to volunteer again and again. He selects gags that are funny, like theatre sports and “whose Line is It Anyway?”, but not embarrassing. The volunteers will have the best time of everyone. After the show volunteers will all be proud of their onstage antics.
You Need 50 or More People
Smaller shows can work, and Gerard V will do them. However a practical minimum is around 50 people in the audience at the start. That way there will likely be ample volunteers, and among the volunteers, there will be a goodly number of great hypnotic candidates (we call them rock stars!).
Lights Action and Camera
That Hypno Show features a high quality PA system, stage lighting and a whole technical setup complete with professional sound engineer. Gerard V is not “just some guy with a mic”. No, he is a guy with lots of gear, and a very fancy mic (sometimes he even wears a suit). And a team. Don't forget the team.
Sometimes the team features not just Simon Murcott doing sound and lights, but also another crew member, who will work a video camera so that we can make souvenir DVDs for the volunteers. All included in the price of a corporate show.
Surprisingly Funny, and No Surprises
The best shows are not a surprise on the night. The audience is expecting a hypno show. It is not that we wont do surprise shows. But check with us first - these need to be handled with special care.
Disco Anyone?
After a night of partying and hypnotic hijinks, there might be dancing. And we are already there with a PA and lighting. You can see where this is going. We can offer an add-on DJ service (at a little extra cost). It is your choice, if it suits your occasion.
